u 10 Phantoms Season ends with substantial improvement

For a team that gave up many goals during the first few games, the Phantoms toughened up their defense and won their last six games of the season in league.  In the Commissioner's Cup they did not allow a goal in their first two games, winning those games 4-0 and 1-0.  They then held a team that scored five goals against them in the Pumpkin Kick tournament to two goals scored on set plays in the Commissioner's Cup, but could not come up with offsetting goals.  They played against teams that were mostly made up of 10 year olds.  There will be a core group that will play u 11 next year, and a core group that will play u 10 next year.

Five of the boys are continuing with indoor soccer and are joined by new players that would be a great fit in their outdoor teams next year.

The boys had fun, made substantial improvement but have much still to learn.  I look forward to watching their progress.
